Guided tours

You can explore Drottningholm Palace by yourself, but a guided tour will ensure that your visit is particularly memorable.

The number of places on each tour is limited, and cannot be booked in advance . To book a guided tour for larger groups, see menu Group Visits.

The guided tours takes approximately 45 minutes.

The guided tour costs 30 SEK:
To join a guided tour you buy an entrance ticket and a tour ticket 30 SEK at the cash desks. The guided tours are free of charge for children under 18 years of age (additional entrance ticket for child 7–17 years of age).

May–September
All open days 10:30, 11:30, 13:30 and 15:30

Guided tours in Chinese

We offer guided tours of the Palace in Chinese in June, July and August. Buy entrance and tour ticket before the guided tour starts.

Fridays at 13;00, 7 juni–30 augusti:

June: 7, 14, 21, 28 June at 13:00
July: 5, 12, 19, 26 July at 13:00
August: 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 August at 13:00

Guided tours in Russian

During New Years eve and the following week there will be Palace tours in Russian. Entrance and tour ticket must be purchased before the guided tour starts.

Daily at 13:00, 31 december 2019–5 januari 2020.

FAQ

  • Can I take my bag into the royal palaces?

    Small bags are permitted at our visitor attractions. Rucksacks should be carried in your hand or on your front. Do not leave any bags unattended. Bags and cases with wheels are not permitted.

  • Can I take a pushchair into the royal palaces?

    Pushchairs are not permitted indoors.

  • Are there any pushchair parkings at the royal palaces?

    The Royal Palace of Stockholm: At the entrance to the Reception Rooms, in the Outer Courtyard there is a limited amount of space for pushchairs. Under cover, but unmonitored and no locking facility.

    Riddarholm Church: At the entrance to Riddarholm Church. Under cover, but unmonitored and no locking facility.

    Drottningholm Palace: Outside the entrance. Under cover, but unmonitored and no locking facility.

    Other visitor attractions: No pushchair parking.

  • Which royal visitor attractions can I explore at my own pace?

    The Royal Palace of Stockholm, Riddarholm Church, Drottningholm Palace, the Chinese Pavilion, Gripsholm Castle, Strömsholm Palace and the Orangery at Ulriksdal can be explored at your own pace.

    The other palaces are by guided tour.

  • Is it possible to hire rooms at the royal palaces for dinner functions/events?

    Strömsholm Palace: The dining room in the Stone Kitchen can be hired for dinner functions.

    The other palaces: Room hire is not possible.
