During Epiphany weekend, we will be opening the gates to Gripsholm Castle and giving themed tours of the castle. As is traditional, the Red Cross will be serving coffee in the Kronköket kitchens. The shop will also be open.
Take a trip to Mariefred after the Christmas and New Year holidays, and visit one of our most popular castles. Gripsholm Castle has a 400 year history, and is also home to the Swedish State Portrait Collection.
On Epiphany weekend, 5 and 6 January, the castle will be open for self-guided visits. If you would like to find out more about the history of the castle during the last few centuries, come on one of the weekend's themed tours.
Themed tour: Gripsholm now
During Epiphany weekend, the castle's own experts will be explaining how Gripsholm Castle has been used for entertaining during the 20th and 21st centuries, and about the work of the castle architects during the last few centuries.
